1. Creating Your Profile
Write 'thumbnail details' of yourself.....where you live, your family, your job....don't overdo it!
From my experience people seldom look at the 'Biz Ops I Recommend' feature. You need to promote your most important links within your profile. You can change the typeface of the text in your Profile as follows:-
Bold Text Place two asterisks before and after the text * *
Italic Place a single asterisk before and after the text *
Big Red Text Place a double sharp in front of the sentence # #
Large Text Place a single sharp in front of the sentence #
Large Red Text Place a minus sign below the sentence
2. The Best People to Connect With
The most active members of SWOM and those members who have joined recently (shared members) can be found at http://swomtips.com/
The efficient use of multiple tabs will dramatically accelerate the speed at which you can make connections. I use the Mozilla Firefox toolbar to generate multiple tabs. Having opened a list of 'Most Active' members , simply click on each of the twenty members displayed. The tab of each member will appear in the toolbar, thus enabling you to make connections very rapidly.
You make think that your business opportunity will be received more favourably by new members of SWOM. If this is the case you should click on 'Shared Members' which opens a list of the most recent people to join SWOM. Many people join SWOM and never become active members. To overcome this problem I suggest that you look at the profiles of people who joined 2 or 3 weeks ago. I wouldn't bother to contact people who haven't completed their profile or who haven't generated many points. Just concentrate on the active members..
3. Referral Bonuses
Making referrals, who subsequently upgrade to Gold, is the most profitable way of making money on SWOM. However only Gold members can benefit from their referrals upgrading to Gold.
You receive $15 for every new personal referral that upgrades to Gold membership, paid in the first month after they upgrade.
But that's not all! You continue to receive $5 every month from the second month onwards for each of your Gold referrals - every month - as long as they remain Gold!
Example 1:
If you refer 10 gold members you will receive:
- 10 * $15.00 = $150.00 first month
- 10 * $5.00 = $50.00 every month thereafter

4. 'Gold Evangelist' Bonus Pool
Here's how it works - You may connect with new or existing free members and help them upgrade to Gold membership. To qualify you must send each of them at least one personal wall post message (not email) to help them upgrade to Gold. Your message must be helpful and you must take care not to spam. Your message may contain your testimonial on Swom, its benefits or just a friendly offer to help them use Swom - it must contain the word 'Gold' and must not contain any other links/URL.
For every member that subsequently upgrades within 30 days of your message, you will automatically receive 10 shares in the 'Gold Evangelist' Bonus Pool!
This bonus pool will pay out along with other commissions on or around the 10th of each month. The value of each share will depend on number of Gold members company-wide and number of shares issued during that month. A running estimate is shown in the 'Income' section of the SWOM site as a guide.
5. Community Participation Bonus
To earn shares in the Community Participation Bonus Pool, you need community points. Community points are a rough measurement of how much contribution you have made towards the Swom community.
To gain community points, make new connections and interact positively with other Swom members. Have fun! Some actions will earn you community points, while others will allow you to 'spend' them:

| answer is voted up | +10 per vote |
| video is voted up | +5 per vote |
| question/answer/video is voted down | -2 (-1 to voter) |

Each user can cast up to 20 votes per day for Questions and Answers, and 'Like' up to 50 activities per day. Multiple votes from the same person will only count as one per day.
You can earn a maximum of 200 community points per day (community chests are immune to this limit). Also, there are sometimes special competitions which will allow you to earn more.

* Sample ads If you click on 'Contacts', you can access sample ads to send to your friends, colleagues.....
* SWOM Support SWOM have a great Support Team. Go to FAQ and scroll down to the bottom of the page for the link.
* Connection with other accounts You can connect your SWOM account with other accounts. For example, SWOM can automatically post a tweet to your Twitter account everytime you make a post. You can access this facility by going to 'Settings'.
